ARCHITECTURE
In the field of
civil engineering and architecture TECHNITAL has
carried out highly significant projects and works both in
Italy and abroad involving integrated engineering services
at a high level of specialisation.
Besides civil
buildings and housing, TECHNITAL has been responsible for
the design of industrial buildings and plants, tourist
facilities and post-earthquake reconstruction.
TECHNITAL can
boast a valuable experience in the rehabilitation and
restructuring of civil buildings damaged by catastrophic
events like earthquakes and floods and in the restoration
and modernization of prestigious historical buildings. In
particular, the firm was contracted by the Italian
Government for the design and supervision of the
reconstruction and restructuring of the buildings of four
municipalities in Campania Region, following the disastrous
earthquake of November 1980, when more than 60% of the
buildings were demolished.
Thanks to the
Company’s own resources and its ability to flank its
architectural and civil engineering team with all the
complementary services generally needed for a complex
project, TECHNITAL has also been awarded prestigious
international contracts, such as the new main Railway
Stations of Dammam, Hofuf and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia,
including all the ancillary networks and plants, and the new
University complex at Sebha in Libya, planned to have six
Faculties and cater for 12,000 students.
TECHNITAL also
carried out the Engineering services for the development of
Costa Smeralda in Sardinia, Italy, a US$ 20 million project
for which the services included the preliminary and final
designs, and supervision of construction of new urban
residential complexes, roads and utility networks, and
tourist facilities for an exclusive Mediterranean resort
area.
TECHNITAL
owns
modern EDP centre and a rich library of specific programs
for civil and architectural design and for the visualization
of design solutions.
These programs
permit the execution of structural calculations and
technical and architectural drawings of absolute precision
and the highest graphic quality, as well as the evaluation
of the aesthetic and functional characteristics of the works
designed.
