The project:
Preliminary design of the new water supply network for the
city of Venice, from a new pumping station located on the
island of S. Secondo:
The project included:
-
geological investigations of the island of San Secondo
-
design of civil works (pumping station and 4 storage tanks,
service tunnel, valve chamber)
-
design of technological plants (mechanical installations of
the pumping station, fire-fighting, sanitary, ventilation
and heating installations for the staff areas, electrical,
automatic operation and remote control installations);
-
design of the undersea pipeline distribution network
-
environmental landscaping study of the pumping staion and
related plants and personnel areas, to minimise the impact
of the new works on the environment.
